Christina El Moussa Is Doing Something Major for Her Community

Christina El Moussa is People‘s July 16 cover star, and her interview with the outlet is incredibly revealing. Not only does she open up about what life has been like since she and her husband, Tarek, split after seven years of marriage — after building an empire together with HGTV’s Flip or Flop — she also shares her plans for the future and her true calling, which is honestly really admirable.

In an interview clip posted on PeopleTV, El Moussa shares that since she and Tarek split in 2016, she has been spending a lot of time in the church of Tim Storey, the church’s pastor. People reports that starting next year, El Moussa and Storey will partner with her longtime friend, Cassie Zebisch, to open drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers focused on mind, body, and spirit.

“I feel like my calling has always been to help people,” El Moussa said. “I love a fixer, like I love to fix up a house, but I also really love to help people. Tim’s been involved in the recovery world, and right when we started talking, I just felt like that was my calling.”

She added that they will “incorporate people that I’ve met during the past two years that have really helped me and just try to change people’s lives. It’s a great partnership, and I’m excited for the future.”

This new venture is just one of many that El Moussa is taking on next. Her HGTV solo series, Christina on the Coast, premieres early next year, and she is also adjusting to life as a single mom with a new boyfriend. As of right now, she and Tarek are co-parenting their two kids and still, for the time being, working on Flip or Flop. The future looks bright for El Moussa, and we think it’s great that she’s taking her experiences and using that inspiration to give back to her community.
