Talk about an unconventional honeymoon. Newlyweds Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook spent their first days of wedded bliss in the hospital because Cuoco had to go in for a planned shoulder surgery. Other brides might have planned a fun honeymoon getaway, but sometimes the scheduling doesn’t work out and you have to make the best of it.

Us Weekly reported that Cuoco and Cook hilariously documented her time spent in the hospital and recuperating at home. Cuoco was the first one to put up posts from her hospital stay, which included a particularly amusing selfie of her and Cook.
Still looking a little woozy from the surgery (while Cook kept the mood light with a big grin), Cuoco captioned the photo, “When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery – thank you for all the love and support! [I love] knowing @mrtankcook. I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems.” And — priorities! — she thanked her hair colorist for her sweet dye job: “Thank god my hair color is on point (@clarissanya).”

“Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow….well @normancook yours is memorable?? #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon,” Cook wrote.

The next post was somehow even more epic, with Cook taking a video of Cuoco snoring as they drove home. His caption: “@normancook snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow! #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.” Cook’s been known to post unflattering photos of Cuoco on his Instagram before (it’s all done out of love!), but this video is truly a work of art.

This may not be the most glamorous honeymoon ever, but it looks like Cuoco and Cook are making the best of an otherwise tough situation. Best of all, they get to be with the person they love. Sounds like a recipe for a pretty good honeymoon, don’t you think?
