Kate Beckinsale Doing Goat Yoga With Her Ex Is the Gift We All Need Right Now

Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen have apparently tapped into the secret to staying friends with your ex, and it’s… goats. 

We’re not kidding (ha!). The former couple appeared closer than ever on Friday, when they enjoyed a goat yoga class with their daughter, Lily Sheen, to celebrate Beckinsale’s 45th birthday. Bless her soul, the Underworld actress took to Instagram that afternoon to share a few photos of the family’s extracurricular activity.

Thank you #laughingfrogyoga and #hellocrittercare for such a fun day and also to Billy and Burlap, for knowing instinctively where to friendly fire.” 

In the series of photos, Beckinsale, Lily and Martin all manage to maintain their excellent form in various yoga poses while goats cavort between their legs and stand on their backs — or, in Beckinsale’s case, her derriere.

Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without kisses for the birthday girl. And while Beckinsale and her ex are close, she chose a goat to share her affection with by feeding it a treat from her mouth.

Beckinsale and Sheen, who dated from 1995 to 2003, have remained enviably close over the years. In 2017, when Lily graduated high school, Beckinsale gave a nod to her co-parent and to the family’s tight bond. “We may not be a conventional family but we have love and humour and respect and care and I am proud to have walked this far with both of you and to have @lily_beckinsale walk us into the future,” she captioned a heartwarming video of the three at Lily’s graduation.
