Portman is wishing her ex well and reportedly hopes he “is happy.” A second insider noted to Us Weekly that “Benjamin’s dating life doesn’t really have any bearing on Natalie” because she’s too busy “prioritizing family and friends.” People confirmed that her divorce from Millepied went completely unnoticed by the press and was finalized in February. “It was initially really tough for her, but her friends rallied around her and helped get her through the worst of it,” a friend told the media outlet.
The Oscar winner did not want to draw a lot of attention to the painful breakup, but she made one small, but powerful statement in a Vanity Fair interview. “It’s terrible,” she said in February, “and I have no desire to contribute to it.” That is probably all that she’s going to say in the media about the split as a relatively reclusive Hollywood celebrity.
