Zach Bryan’s ex-wife Rose Madden has formed an unlikely bond with his most recent ex-girlfriend, social media star Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
LaPaglia revealed in a Nov. 20 episode of her BFFs podcast that she had been in touch with Madden after revealing Bryan offered to pay her to remain silent about alleged emotional abuse that happened during relationship.
“I FaceTimed with Rose for a couple hours actually,” LaPaglia said. “I f—ing love her. I have never felt more seen and validated in my life, same with her. Oh my gosh. She’s a great person.” When co-host Dave Portnoy said he “would’ve loved to be a fly on the wall for that” phone call, LaPaglia made it clear she wasn’t going to divulge. “That’s between me and Rose,” she said.
LaPaglia split from Bryan in October after a year and a half of dating and later forward with allegations that Bryan mistreated and manipulated her throughout their relationship.
“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,” LaPaglia admitted during her BFFs podcast on Nov. 7. “I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him still. My brain’s rewired. I’m scared to make him mad.”
Among LaPaglia’s accusations against her ex-boyfriend of one year was him judging her outfit at the 2024 Golden Globes and his team offering to pay her $12 million for her silence following their split. Later, in a Nov. 18 TikTok, she revealed she is in “intensive therapy” after their split.
LaPaglia’s claims about Bryan led fans to speculate about what may have happened in his relationship with ex-wife Madden and whether she might have been pressured to accept money in exchange for silnce.
Bryan previously dated ex-girlfriend Deb Peifer from 2022 to 2023 and Bryan was married to Madden from 2020 until their divorce in 2021.
In her podcast episode, LaPaglia also insinuated that other people in Bryan’s life had been paid to stay silent.
“I don’t think you can pay people off that you hurt to protect you,” she said. “I did not accept any money, I will not accept any money. I think that is beneath me.” She added: “I am not previous people.”
Who Is Zach Bryan’s ex-wife Rose Madden?
Bryan was married to Rose Madden from 2020 until their divorce in 2021. Much like Bryan himself, Rose Madden is a US Navy veteran. The two met while serving together in the Navy and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in July 2020 in Colchuk Lake, Washington.
Bryan enlisted in the Navy in 2013, at age 17, and released his debut album, DeAnn, in 2019 while still serving in the military. He married Madden the following year, the same year he released his breakout album Elisabeth.
Fans speculate that Bryan’s 2020 album Elisabeth was named after Madden’s middle name. The album cover previously featured a photo of Bryan with a woman fans believe is Madden but the singer later changed it to a black cover.
In May 2021, Madden announced their split in a TikTok video. “✨when your ex husband moves out, and you are now forced to cook potatoes with a f——- pumpkin pie mold✨,” she wrote.
Many fans online have alleged that Bryan cheated on Madden and sent her divorce papers while she was still deployed. However, this is still speculation and neither Madden or Bryan have addressed these claims.
In October 2021, Bryan revealed he was leaving the military to pursue music. “If it was my decision, I would never get out of the worlds greatest Navy, but here I am and they kindly honorably discharged me to go play some music,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “Can’t tell if I’m a coward or if I’m chasing a dream but regardless, the best eight years of my life were spent serving the best country in the whole damn world.”
Has Rose Madden Responded to the Zach Bryan Drama?
Bryan’s ex-wife has not publicly addressed any of LaPaglia’s allegations or anything about her split from “Pink Skies” singer since her May 2021 TikTok confirming their breakup.
She did, however, get a shoutout from LaPaglia shortly before she came forward with allegations against Bryan.
Before airing her allegations on her podcast, LaPaglia posted an Instagram Story of two cakes with very telling messages written in icing. One had the words “Smallest Man” written on it, referring to a diss track about Bryan that her podcast co-hosts Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy released. The other cake read: “For Bri, Rose and Deb,” the names of Bryan’s three exes.
Shortly after LaPaglia came forward with her allegations, she posted a video on TikTok with her now-boyfriend, seemingly choosing to ignore the speculation about her ex-husband.
Currently, Madden’s social media, which has approximately 23k followers on Instagram and 54k on TikTok, lists her occupation as a Digital Creator.
In 2022, Madden also seemingly hinted at her sexuality on TikTok claiming she doesn’t know the difference between the sentiments “I want to be with her” and “I want to be her.” “lgbtq,” she wrote in the caption.
Since their divorce, Madden has since moved on with her current boyfriend, Sebastian, whom she met in 2021 and started dating in 2022.
“I was actually dating someone else at the time we became friends, so that allowed us the opportunity to develop a beautiful friendship before ever even considering pursuing a romantic relationship with each other,” Madden wrote of their relationship in February 2024.
