Meghan Markle is betting on herself big time in 2025 and she’s hoping that her upcoming brand launch for American Riviera Orchard (ARO) quiets the critics for good. The Duchess of Sussex believes in herself and that’s why she’s making herself CEO of her lifestyle company.
Her partnership with Netflix originally involved the streaming network “installing its own CEO to run operations,” according to the Daily Mail. “Meghan is interviewing candidates for the CEO role at the moment,” a source to the media outlet. However, those plans apparently changed.
Page Six confirmed that Meghan has appointed herself as the company’s CEO and is looking ahead to the new year where there are reportedly exciting things to come — and sooner than fans think. “As far as Meghan being quiet, she’s been in the background working on her entrepreneurial efforts, both the Netflix project and her brand will come out within the same timeline in the New Year,” a source revealed.
“It’s going to be a good year for Meghan specifically, she’s spent the majority of the year doing work behind the scenes to launch a project in the first few months of 2025,” they added. The positive news comes on the heels of reports that ARO was struggling to find staffers based on Sussexes’ prior history.
“The numbers don’t lie and to have almost 20 members of staff quitting on them tells its own story,” an insider claimed to Closer Weekly in August. “It’s unprecedented, even for a start-up.” But plenty of current and former employees jumped to their defense in an Us Weekly article in September. Former chief of staff Josh Kettler described Meghan and Prince Harry as “dedicated and hardworking.”
Still, it feels like Meghan is haunted by her former royal life bullying allegations. The Hollywood Reporter piled onto those accusations in September with reported ex-employees dubbing themselves a part of the “Sussex Survivors Club.” However, everyone seems to causally promote out the claims while refusing to speak on the record.
It’s probably the reason why Meghan is investing in herself for 2025. It’s a big bet, but the Duchess of Sussex thinks it will pay off.
