When Christina Haackhired celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser in November, she meant business in ending her marriage to Josh Hall. Not only is the 41-year-old HGTV star hoping to swiftly wrap up the legal issues with Hall, but she also wants to get things moving on the real estate front — and it looks like she won that round.
Haack had to ping-pong her $4.5 million Tennessee home on and off the market because her ex filed a temporary emergency order in an attempt to halt the sale of her estate. Even though it was Haack’s home, Hall claimed it was done without his consent because of the “paydown of the mortgage during the marriage,” per the legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail. Hall wanted a slice of the home sale and the legal quagmire was a result of the former couple not signing a prenuptial agreement ahead of their marriage.
Now, Realtor.com is reporting that the home is officially back on the market as of Dec. 3. Hall had been living there during their separation which was announced in July. Haack remained in the couple’s $12 million Newport Beach, California home that they bought together. Hall didn’t exactly love having to relocate when the Tennessee property initially went on the market and noted in the legal documents that his “living expenses will undoubtedly increase” as a result of his move.
The 5,200-square-foot residence was featured prominently on the show, Christina in the Country, so the “fabulous modern farmhouse” probably won’t have a hard time finding a buyer. Haack seems eager to get rid of the property and move on from her marriage to Hall. She’s been pretty upfront about what she thinks of her ex after he was booted from the upcoming HGTV show, The Flip Off.
“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” she told Entertainment Tonight in November. “I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that? I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way.”
