Prince William and Kate Middleton have weathered through an unimaginable year. In addition to King Charles III cancer diagnosis, the Princess of Wales also found herself in a similar health position. The couple faced dark times together and that has reportedly put a new spin on their 13-year marriage.
“It’s safe to say that her health crisis has made Kate and William stronger as a couple — and now they’re more in love than ever before,” a royal source told . “William and Kate have been to hell and back, and it just proves that nothing can break them.” The couple formed a “deeper connection” after the Prince of Wales took on more responsibilities at home.
Soon, the romance followed. “Kate would never discuss this publicly, but she finds that the strength William displayed throughout her ordeal has made him more attractive, irresistible even,” the insider added. “It definitely helped them find their spark again.” Their PDA was on full display in September when the royal duo released a cinematic video revealing the end of Kate’s chemotherapy treatment.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” she said in the voiceover. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.” While viewers watched images of the royal family, Kate and William got especially handsy in a few clips.
Not everyone was thrilled with their new touchy-feely approach, and that allegedly included King Charles III. “All that lying round, hugging and kissing – they’re not soppy teenagers,” a source told the Daily Mail. “It felt manipulative.” A second royal insider echoed similar sentiments, “I can assure you that Charles and Camilla will not be filmed kissing each other on a beach [as William and Catherine were] until hell freezes over. It’s distinctly un-regal.”
That criticism isn’t stopping Kate and William from their renewed commitment to their marriage. Kate is on the mend and the royal couple is looking forward to a brighter 2025.
