Taylor Swift‘s ex, The 1975 frontman Matt Healy, engaged in a rather disturbing back and forth between Azealia Banks; and insiders are talking about how Swift feels about the situation.
In case you missed it, earlier this week Healy and Banks engaged in a back-and-forth that started when Banks tweeted, “Charli [XCX] used to be soooo pretty. Ugh,” referring to his longtime pal. He called her out for the tweet and thus they started tweeting at one another. However, it all came to a halt when Healy tweeted, in a now-deleted post, “Talk to me like that I’m not gonna side eye you at an awards do I’ll f*****g slap you so hard I’ll get a Guinness world record for the highest a rat some b***h calls a wig has ever flown.” After that, many were outraged at his response, per CommingSoon via Yahoo, allegedly including his ex, Swift.
“There is a reason why Taylor didn’t get deeply involved with him after her split from Joe Alwyn,” a source recently said to DailyMail. “She has known Matty a very long time and she had worked with him professionally, but she is no longer in communication with him.”
But while they are not in communication anymore after their brief romance and years of friendship, the inside sources claim that Swift is worried about him.
“In no way should a man ever threaten to harm a woman, or anyone else for that matter. He is facing demons clearly. Taylor knows his family as well and everyone just really hopes that he gets the help he needs before it is too late,” they said to the outlet
A second source added, “Taylor is disappointed by Matty’s recent behavior and it has kind of reaffirmed that moving on from him was the right decision. She was shocked that he threatened to assault Azealia.”
For those that don’t know, Swift and her ex-boyfriend Alwyn called it quits in Feb 2023 after nearly six years together. Less than two months later, she was spotted with Healy, whom she knew for about a decade beforehand.
He later arrived at her concert, and the two continued a brief fling until June 2023. As we said, Swift is now with Travis Kelce, and has been for a year, while Healy is engaged to Gabbriette Bechtel, with whom he started dating in Sept 2023.
