Tarek El Moussa has officially entered the Christina Haackdivorce chat. As the HGTV personality’s first ex-husband, he definitely has a say in what has gone down so far, and he is clearly #TeamChristina in her split from Josh Hall.
Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, posted an Instagram video on Dec. 17 that addressed whether they would come back for a second season of The Flip Off. The El Moussas and Haack are competing against each other on the home renovation show even though Hall was dropped from the series after he filed for divorce. While the couple shared their thoughts in the video clip, Haack made sure to chime in the comments and stir the pot.
“Only if @theheatherraeelmoussa is my partner next time. Tarek you can have Josh. 😜,” joked Haack.
Tarek wrote back, “@thechristinahall even with Josh slowing me down, I can still beat the girls 🤷🏻♂️👏🏻.”
Heather added, “@thechristinahall seriously, how can we make this happen?? #season2 👀.”
Hall is the odd man out with this trio, and Tarek and Heather are supporting Haack through the very public split. The couple shared with Access Hollywood on Dec. 11 how much Haack’s friendship means to them. “We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek revealed. “I know there’s a lot of stuff going on in the world between the co-parenting, but at the end of the day, we’re actually friends. We take care of each other, we’re really supportive.”
Tarek and Haack share two children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, but their relationship wasn’t always so amicable. In May 2022, the El Moussas, Haack, and Hall were involved in a verbal altercation at one of the kids’ soccer games — and it was caught by the paparazzi. There was a heated exchange between Heather and Haack and then the men went in for round two. A soccer coach eventually intervened to put an end to the drama.
The trio has come a long way and The Flip Off, which premieres Jan. 29, is a big part of their healing. It even brought Haack’s second ex-husband Ant Anstead back into the fold. He is expected to make a cameo appearance at some point during the season.
The Flip Off might have been the best vehicle to bringing their blended family back together.
