Fans Got a Look at Christina Haack’s Life With Josh Hall on The Flip Off & It’s Uncomfortable

Even though Josh Hall is no longer a full-time cast member of The Flip Off, he did film scenes ahead of his split from Christina Haack. HGTV released a clip of their interactions before the show’s Jan. 29 debut, and it’s quite uncomfortable to watch.

The one-minute sneak peek shows Hall driving their SUV down the freeway with Haack. “This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops,” he said in the clip. “Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!” His then-wife didn’t seem interested in his conversation and remained silent, so Hall pressed on.

“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me. “Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,” he continued in a demanding tone. The dramatic music that played underneath the conversation felt like a gut punch because Haack looked defeated at the moment. He didn’t like her silence and added, “You’re rude.”

“I don’t overtalk,” Haack then said in a soft voice.

“Yeah, the s—t you say and I’m just like, ‘I wish you’d shut up already,” he shot back.

She sighed in frustration and seemed to be subtly suggesting that it wasn’t an appropriate conversation for the camera, but Hall wasn’t done.

“My wife’s pissing me off already,” he stated.

Haack replied, “Are we there yet?”

For anyone who has been in a relationship like this, the moment was all too relatable. The clip then slipped into Haack’s emotional scene with her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa where she revealed that they had “officially split up.” The Flip Off is supposed to be a playful home renovation competition with exes Haack and El Moussa pitted against each other, but it’s clear they were digging their way out of the emotions of their own breakup in 2018.

Haack hasn’t been quiet about her ex after he filed for divorce in July — she’s fighting back with her words. “When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight in November. “I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”

She’s also hired high-powered Hollywood divorce attorney Laura Wasser to settle the estate as quickly as possible. Haack is ready for her next chapter, and it doesn’t involve Hall.
