Yet again, Meghan McCain is coming for a fellow Meghan: Meghan Markle. While we know she’s made scathing op-eds about her in the past, she’s now taking her frustrations with the former royal to X, the app formerly known as Twitter.
As many fans know, Markle announced her Netflix cooking show entitled With Love, Meghan after fans had waited a year for her to announce the show. However, McCain called out the upcoming cooking show, and the internet is quite split on her response.
In case you missed it, McCain shared her response to the outlet, saying, “I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing. Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family. Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored.”
She added, “All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch. There have been 2 terror attacks in 2 days, major wars raging and Americans can’t pay for groceries. We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now.”
“This concept is ill advised. I would have told her to do a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighborhoods. Do something to help people instead of your ego.,” she added. “This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment.”

The long-awaited series has been under work for years, and it’s clear that the announcement was a pre-scheduled release set by Netflix’s programming. Insiders have said Meghan will be doing her rebrand in 2025, and here we are, on schedule; and it seems McCain isn’t too pleased with it.
Along with that, quite a few other X users agreed with McCain, saying, “But also, it’s 2024, not 2014. People don’t want more curated lifestyle influencers. Even Martha Stewart pivoted her brand. People crave authenticity. They no longer idolize perfectly crafted celebrities anymore.”
However, many X users called out McCain for hypocrisy, calling back to her career on The View and DailyMail. One user said, “‘Do something to help people instead of your ego’ said a woman who made a career of criticizing and attacking others,” and another added, “Pot meet Kettle.”
So, yet again, McCain has split the internet with her divisive comments, this time, yet again, directed at Markle.
