Meghan Markle’s Latest Netflix Move Proves Her Love of California Amid the Destructive LA Wildfires

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been doing their part to support victims of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles

Like many Californians, they opened their home to friends and acquaintances who lost theirs in the fires. On Saturday, the two were spotted in Pasadena distributing food and supplies to residents displaced by the Eaton Fire. Now, Meghan is taking her commitment a step further by delaying the release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, to keep her focus on helping those in need.

On Sunday, Meghan released a statement thanking the streaming service for their support during this challenging time. “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” she said in a statement.

Originally slated for a Jan. 15 release, the series has now been pushed to March 4. The show offers an intimate look at Meghan’s life, celebrating her personal growth and the deep connection she feels to her home state of California. The series will feature guests including Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, and Alice Waters, among other renowned chefs and personal friends.

The Greater Los Angeles wildfires, which have raged for six days, are fueled by intense Santa Ana winds and have claimed at least 16 lives, though officials warn the number could climb. Over 150,000 residents are under evacuation orders, and more than 12,000 structures — many of which were in the historically Black neighborhood of Altadena — have been destroyed.
