Christina Haack isn’t just divorcing Josh Hall; she’s also ending a major chapter that they shared together. After appearing on the Thursday, Jan. 9 episode of Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Live, the 41-year-old TV personality dropped a bomb about her show, Christina in the Country.
The home renovation show that was filmed in Tennessee is officially done. Haack noted, “That’s over. That was two seasons.” The series premiered in 2023 and had six episodes each season, focusing on her life with Hall at their farmhouse and the expansion of her business on the other side of the country. It’s easy to understand why she’s closing this chapter amid her contentious divorce. But there’s more to the story.
The Tennessee home that was a central character on Christina in the Country and in her marriage is currently on the market. “I’m selling that one. I just don’t want it anymore,” Haack admitted. “It’s too hard to go back and forth.” The residence is currently up for sale for $4.5 million. She originally listed the property in October 2024 but was temporarily blocked by Hall when he filed an emergency order to halt the sale.
Haack was the owner of the residence, but her ex believed he had a stake in the home because of the “paydown of the mortgage during the marriage,” per the legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail. Hall had been staying there after their split as long as the 23-acre property wasn’t rented out to tenants — per Realtor.com, the home went back on the market on Dec. 3, 2024. Haack remained at the couple’s $12 million Newport Beach, California home which will likely be a point of contention since they did not have a prenuptial agreement.
The other issue Haack and Hall still face is his stake in the ownership of Christina in the Country and the upcoming show, The Flip Off, which he was booted from once they broke up. In his legal filing, he requested to gain equal rights to the HGTV and Discovery shows that he worked on with his ex-wife. Since California is a community property state, family law attorney Aliette H. Carolan, Esq., who is not working with either party, told SheKnows in July 2024 that “Josh will likely preserve his rights to the shows he participated in.”
Christina in the Country had a good run, but Haack is now looking at her time in Tennessee in the rearview mirror. Christina on the Coast will continue on because Haack is a true California gal.
