Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt experienced the unimaginable last week when their Pacific Palisades home burned in the Los Angeles wildfires. The Hills stars have been chronicling the difficult aftermath for their fans on TikTok, showing the devastation and rubble of what’s left of their home.

Now, a resurfaced 2019 video from MTV shows what their home used to look like ahead of the Jan. 7 fire. The almost seven-minute clip features Pratt’s beloved hummingbird feeders and crystals while Montag’s office was a “shrine” to their reality show heyday.

“So, this is when I was betrayed by Spencer on The Hills when we had Gunner, this is my revenge plastic surgery,” she said of her Us Weekly covers. Pratt joked, “Yeah, we love fame if you can’t tell.” The couple has always leaned into their D-list status, and they love it.

Just from watching the crib tour, you can tell Montag and Pratt’s home was built on love. The sweet baby photos of Gunner (Ryker, 2, wasn’t born yet), Pratt’s tie-dye collection in his closet, and the striking portraits of the couple on the wall were all lost in the fire — and it’s hard not to weep along with them over their loss. The duo appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Jan. 15 to discuss having to rebuild their lives.

“Spencer was like ‘Grab anything you want to keep,’ ” Montag shared on the morning news program. “And I was like, ‘How do you choose?’ You know? My brain stopped working because I was so overwhelmed with so many things you can’t replace. So, I grabbed my kids’ teddy bears.”

Pratt broke down in tears while talking about his sons’ bedrooms and how watching them burn on a home security video was emotionally draining. “The worst was like our kid’s room that was so magical,” he explained. “We do story time each night, it’s like our routine, so much love is in there. Our son’s bed started just burning in the shape of a heart. The fire started in the shape of a heart. I was like, ‘This is like, out of body insane.’ ”

There has been a ray of light through this dark time though. Fans have rallied around the couple and helped Montag’s 2010 album, Superficial, race up the charts to the No. 1 spot on iTunes. “The fan support has been such a light in such a darkness for us,” Montag summed up. “It’s life changing.”
