Christina Haack‘s Tennessee home has been a point of contention in her divorce from Josh Hall. She is the sole owner of the property, but the residence was a big part of their almost three-year marriage — and now she has to pay up.
The HGTV personality was ordered by a California judge to give her estranged husband $150,000 upon the sale of the home, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. “No later than five days after the close of the escrow, [Christina] is ordered to deposit $150,000 from the sale of the home into [Josh’s] counsel-client trust that is interest-bearing with restricted access,” the document read. The order went down in late October, but documents were just filed by Haack’s new divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.
Haack listed the $4.5 million home that was featured on Christina in the Country in October 2024. Hall temporarily halted the sale because “the community maintains an appreciation interest due to the pay down of the mortgage during the marriage,” per court documents. The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place and California is a community property state, so he was looking for a slice of the sale revenue — and it seems like the judge agrees.
The 41-year-old TV personality revealed on the Thursday, Jan. 9 episode of Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Live that she was closing her Tennessee chapter for good. Christina in the Countrywon’t move forward with a third season because “it’s too hard to go back and forth” from the East and West Coasts. She’s staying in California to raise her three children with exes Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead, but her divorce from Hall looks like it will be a lengthy affair.
“We’re going to be going to trial I hear,” Haack told Lewis about her ex’s reluctance to negotiate a settlement. “It’s going to be fun,” she added. “Can’t wait.” The Christina on the Coast star also divulged that she gave Hall money for living expenses and he allegedly spent it on a luxury item. “I’ve already had to give a little something but then he bought a Bentley. I gave him money to live, and he bought a Bentley, but he also doesn’t have a job, so,” she claimed.
Haack and Hall’s bitter divorce doesn’t look like it will have a happy ending, but hopefully, they can wrap things up sooner versus later so they can both move forward with their lives.
