Jennifer Aniston‘s Bel Air home is known as the house where everyone gathers — from pumpkin carving at Halloween to dinner parties with her girlfriends. The 55-year-old actress keeps some serious A-list company, too. It’s not surprising to see her with other famous faces, including. Sandra Bullock, Courteney Cox, Jason Bateman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Chelsea Handler. Now, she might add a royal family member to the group: Meghan Markle.
“They have Oprah as a mutual friend and don’t forget Courteney is friendly with Harry, so there’s already some common ground,” a source claimed. “Jen is very selective about who she lets into her circle, so she has taken things quite slowly with Meghan, but the word is she’s ready to fully welcome her in.” Some fans might forget that they appeared in the same film together, 2011’s Horrible Bosses, but “they hardly worked together” because the Duchess of Sussex’s role was “small.”
Aniston evidently feels that “the way [Meghan has] been treated is pretty diabolical” and the Friends star “has a ton of empathy” for what she’s going through. “At the same time, she’s really impressed with how Meghan’s shown such resilience,” the source added. Remember, Aniston had to weather through a decade of the relentless love triangle with her ex Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the public eye — she has walked in Meghan’s shoes.
If Meghan does accept Aniston’s invitation to join her elite Hollywood circle of friends, she’s going to find out that The Morning Show star’s residence is “the clubhouse.” Aniston told Elle in 2018, “I love entertaining. I always have food. I think I probably got that from my mom, who always had her girlfriends over. I picked it up from my childhood—just always hearing girls in the house and learning how to make a good cheese board.” Perhaps Meghan can also share a recipe or two from her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan? This blossoming friendship might be an ideal match.
Despite the British tabloids who claim the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t have any friends in Montecito, Meghan has often been spotted in the company of Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, plus royal fans saw her show up to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala in October with her bestie, Kelly McKee Zajfen. McKee Zajfen gushed about her BFF in a post-event Instagram post on Oct. 6, 2024. She wrote in the caption, “I was also beyond grateful to share in this beautiful evening with one of my closest friends. Meg, your commitment to supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and community is truly inspiring. I’m so grateful to have you by my side.”
Now, Aniston and Meghan’s loyalty might make them the perfect Hollywood pair since they both prefer to keep their personal lives far off the radar.
