Jenna Dewan Reveals Plans to ‘Finally’ Marry Steve Kazee After Finalizing Divorce From Channing Tatum

Jenna Dewan is ready for 2025 to be her year! After spending six years navigating her divorce from Channing Tatum after a nine-year marriage, the 44-year-old actress is ready for her “fresh start.”

Dewan spoke about her plans for the new year in an essay for InStyle and reflected on how new beginnings “don’t wait for calendars or big proclamations.” Instead, “they happen in the quiet choices: forgiving yourself, showing up again, trusting the process even when it feels hopeless.” The Rookie star seemed to hint at her struggle to settle her divorce from Tatum that dominated much of her 2024. With the financial details finally worked out, Dewan and her fiancé Steve Kazee are able to move forward with their life together.

She not-so-subtly hinted at what her year has in store for her and Kazee. “I am so grateful for my family, the love and presence of my partner, Steve, and the adventures we will have this year. I see some travel, lots of family laughs, and, most importantly, maybe a wedding finally!” The duo has been together since 2018, about six months after she split from Tatum. In 2020, Dewan had her first baby, son Callum, with Kazee, and in June 2024, welcomed daughter Rhiannon. She also shares an 11-year-old daughter Everly with Tatum.

Dewan revealed on The Jennifer Hudson Show in March 2024 that she and Kazee had finally set a wedding date. “We’ve been engaged forever,” she explained. “We got engaged and then there were so many life things that happened… All of a sudden there was [COVID-19] and [the] pandemic and home and then baby number three. So, we kept pushing this day.” Those “life things” included the fact that she was still married to Tatum.

Dewan and Tatum settled their divorce on Sept. 25, 2024, after battling over the rights to the Magic Mike franchise which was developed during their marriage. They were set to go to trial in December, but Tatum and Dewan managed to come to an agreement ahead of their bitter fight. In addition to the Magic Mike clash, they waived spousal support and agreed that if they disagreed in the future they would hammer it out privately with a judge.

For Dewan, it’s now about carving out her future with Kazee.
