Sofía Vergara is declaring 2025 her year! She’s at the top of her game after starring in Netflix’s Griselda, she was nominated for several awards for the role, and she’s reportedly ready to find romance — or at least a fun fling — after breaking up with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman last fall.
At the 2025 Golden Globes, the 52-year-old actress revealed to Access Hollywood that she had a list of things she was “manifesting” in 2025. “Health, money, boyfriend… or a lover,” Vergara said mischievously. A source confirmed Vergara’s intentions, noting, “She’s set her sights on finding a man. Sofía’s ready for love and wants to feel sparks. Sofía’s having fun flirting up a storm!”
The Modern Family star has already kicked off the rumor mill too with a recent lunch with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton. TMZ spotted her and Hamilton enjoying a “flirty” outing in New York City on Jan. 14. It was a group event, so there was no PDA — but the chemistry was palpable. There has been no follow-up on their friendly lunch, so perhaps Hamilton wasn’t her perfect match. Still, Vergara is out there looking for a man (or a “lover”) who is going to be able to match her incredible energy.
After splitting with Joe Manganiello in July 2023 after eight years of marriage, Vergara briefly dated Saliman, who checked off a lot of boxes for her — they split in the fall of 2024. She’s been open about trying to avoid romances with other people in the entertainment industry, telling Jimmy Fallon in January 2024 why she loves to date in NYC versus LA. “I love it, who doesn’t love New York City?” she shared. “It’s the people, it’s the energy. I think that you have more options with men also. I’m single now!”
Vergara wants someone who isn’t an actor like Manganiello but also can “jet to exotic locations on a whim,” unlike Saliman. “There’s no one specific type or person she’s eyeing,” the Life & Style source added. “They all look good to her!”
We do not doubt that Vergara’s dance card is going to be full — any man would be lucky to date her.
