When Weston “Wes” Bergmann joined the third season of The Traitors in episode two, he was seen as quite a threat. After all, joining alongside Big Brother champ Derrick Levasseur and Survivor legend Boston Rob meant that they were a trio to be reckoned with.
But, whether or not you knew Bergmann’s reality TV history from The Challenge or The Real World: Austin, the more viewers got to know Bergmann, the less scary he seemed. In general, while his look and confidence might’ve been intimidating at first, Bergmann quickly made friends with his fellow housemates and has had some breakthroughs that might actually sneak out some traitors.
As we continue to see how the traitor search unfolds, however, we’re taking a moment to look at Bergmann outside of the show. Bergmann has been married to his wife Amanda Hornick since 2018. Together, they share a daughter named Lucy, who they welcomed in 2023.
Who Is Wes Bergmann’s Wife, Amanda Hornick?
Bergmann’s wife, Hornick, is a yoga instructor, lifestyle blogger and recruiter for a design company. Her Instagram bio also describes her as a “lover of food & drink” and a “deal finder & sharer.”
She lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with Bergmann, their daughter Lucy Jean, and their dog, Penny.
Bergmann & Hornick Started Dating in 2011
Bergmann and Hornick met in 2011 at a bar. In a 2023 anniversary post, Hornick explained how it all went down. “I guess what I want to say is… I’m REALLY glad you walked up to that table of 13 guys + me and told me I was really beautiful and that you wanted to buy me a drink but only if I followed you to the bar across the street because you were leaving 😂,” she wrote on Instagram. And the rest is history!
Hornick & Bergmann Got Engaged in 2016
Bergmann got down on one knee in September 2016. The two were fully decked out in Kansas City Royals gear at the Kansas City Royals Kauffman Stadium. “She said yes!” Bergmann wrote on Instagram at the time.
Bergmann & Hornick Married in 2018
Bergmann and Hornick tied the knot on June 1, 2018, at the Overland Park Arboretum in Overland Park, Kansas.
“Well, the headline is, I married my best friend and I must officially close the groupie drawer forever,” Bergmann joked on Instagram after their wedding. “In all seriousness, I’m the luckiest guy in the world, and I believe these pictures personify this fact,” he wrote alongside pictures of their big day.
“The star of the pictures is the girl of my dreams, Amanda BERGMANN (@nomastayinkc),” he continued. “And the supporting cast is the most ridiculous amalgamation of characters that anyone could ever assemble throughout a lifetime. Cheers to all those who supported us up to this point, and cheers to all those that will continue to support us as we turn the page to a new and equally exciting chapter of our lives.”
Hornick kept her wedding post short and sweet. “Found my best friend & locked him down forever ❤️,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of them. “#TheLuckiest #MrAndMrsBergmann #MarriedAF.”
Bergmann & Hornick Welcomed Their Daughter in 2023
Bergmann and Hornick announced they were expecting their first child on April 5, 2023. “Baby Bergmann, coming this September 🌋,” they wrote in a joint post. “We would like to take a second to thank all of our friends, family, and supporters who continue to help us become the best versions of ourselves. We aim to pour all of that love into this child in an effort to make him/her the next great, ginger, genius.”
“Dare we say, future Challenge champion?” they continued in the caption.
They welcomed their daughter Lucy on Sept. 28, 2023. “Well, well, well – my name is Lucy Jean!” they wrote on Instagram. “All my girls are healthy and I’m beaming 😁.”
They Share Snippets of Their Life on Social Media
If you’re finding out about Bergmann’s adorable relationship and family just now, then you might be happy to know that both of them share a lot of their daily life on social media. From major baby milestones to wedding anniversaries, these two don’t shy away from showing how much they love each other.
On Mother’s Day in 2024, for instance, Bergmann wrote a touching tribute to his wife.
“Today is your first Mother’s Day as a mom and I’m so proud to be able to celebrate it alongside you. I married you for what feels like a billion reasons; at the top of the list was your sense of humor, intelligence, and positivity,” he wrote alongside a picture of them and baby Lucy. “So it’s such an unbelievable feat this late into our relationship to not only add something to the list of reasons I love you, but to add the number one reason I love you, which is that you’re a fantastic mother.”
“These last seven months, watching you thrive as a new mom has been nothing short of magical,” he continued. “It’s legit insane how fast you learned how to crush the most important responsibility either of us will ever have. Watching you do so has made me fall in love with you all over again.” We’re not the only ones tearing up, right?
