While Super Bowl Sunday is all about the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, some attendees are hoping to see another showdown — between Taylor Swift and Donald Trump.
In the lead-up to the Super Bowl, VIPs were reportedly asking if they could catching a glimpse of the Grammy winner and the US president. People spoke to Mike Zandman, President and CEO of luxury hospitality company Entertainment Access, about the demands his clients have been requesting for the Feb. 9 event held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
“Everybody is hoping to see Taylor Swift or President Trump. Those are the two,” Zandman said. However, the demand is “impossible” because even he doesn’t know where the high-profile guests will be sitting.
“I tell them, ‘You’re not the first person to ask me this, but this is something they keep under wraps,” Zandman says, hinting that Swift, Trump and other VIP guests are taking major security measures to keep safe. “There’s no way we’re going to find out what suite either of them are in until the game kicks off.”
Swift is supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, for the second year in a row but Zandman says her attendance was a total secret at the 2024 Super Bowl.
“I didn’t know at the time that she was going to be there,” he remembers of the Las Vegas event. “So whoever sat there just ended up getting lucky. She was literally right above them.”
Whether Trump and Swift will cross paths remains to be seen but after the President’s comments about her, we’re not holding our breath. After Swift endorsed Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 election, Trump was vocal about his feelings. “I was not a Taylor Swift fan…But she’s a very liberal person,” Trump said in September 2024. “She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
That said, Swift fans were surprised when Kelce was seemingly looking forward to playing in front of the President.
“It’s a great honor,” the three-time Super Bowl winner said. “I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — and that’s pretty cool.”
Needless to say, Kelce is facing the wrath of the Swifties in response so we’ll just have to wait and see whether he crosses paths with Trump.
