Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have stayed out of the limelight since the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles in early February. Their off-the-radar strategy might be by design though as they take the rare opportunity to focus on their relationship.
After a whirlwind first year together with the Eras Tour, a 2024 Super Bowl win, and Kelce’s step into Hollywood, the dynamic duo was finally ready for some private time. According to a Page Six source, the “Cruel Summer” singer and the NFL star are finally back in the U.S. after enjoying a holiday out of the country. “Taylor and Travis had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year,” the insider shared while not revealing where they spent their vacation.
Swift and Kelce are also doing their best to stay away from the paparazzi and it sounds like they’ve done a great job so far. “Taylor and Travis have stepped out for a date night since returning to the US but went unnoticed when they did so,” the source added. “They weren’t photographed or anything and enjoyed a low-key night out on the town together.”
Their nesting time together is probably going to fuel those engagement rumors again, but the 35-year-old pop star and her 35-year-old boyfriend don’t seem to be in a rush to walk down the aisle. That’s OK by Kelce’s older brother Jason, who thinks the romance has settled his younger sibling’s “Peter Pan” persona. “What also felt different was just the way he talks about her and talked about her from the moment he was with her,” the retired athlete told TNT’s Steam Room on Feb. 21. “You could tell how much he really, really liked her right from the get-go.”
Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has dropped hints about marriage when a caller on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, asked him about the best time of year to get married. “I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall, because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,” Kelce said. “I’ve seen weddings in f—ing February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall.”
Fans think he was giving us clues about his possible plans with Swift — a wedding during football season is not going to happen. Still, if Swift and Kelce have their way, we will all be the last to know. Their romantic blueprint seems to be keeping everyone out of their personal business — and we don’t blame them.
