Jennifer Aniston Reportedly Has a Very A-List Way of Finding Dates in Hollywood

As one of Hollywood’s most famous faces, Jennifer Aniston can’t just casually join one of the dating apps. She knows that if she joined Raya or Tinder, the tabloids would jump all over the story and the 56-year-old actress barely has any privacy as it is!

That’s why the Friends star has reportedly resorted to a very A-list way of finding dates, and it’s a tactic often used by celebrities who can’t lead a very ordinary life. Aniston often relies on the people in her inner circle to vet possible men to date — and it sounds like it’s working pretty well for her.

“Jen has always met guys through her friends and her management team,” an insider told “She gets set up a lot, actors will have their reps call her reps and they go from there.” The key to a successful night out is privacy — it has to be with someone willing to fly under the radar with her.

“It’s all happening behind closed doors,” the source added. That means a date might occur at Aniston’s Bel Air home or maybe a friend’s house. She doesn’t want to take anything to chance which means a dinner at celeb hotspot Giorgio Baldi is strictly forbidden. The Morning Show actress doesn’t want to be confronted by the paparazzi on the way out the door, she endured that for years during and after her marriage to Brad Pitt.

After her divorce from Pitt in 2005 and her split from Justin Theroux in 2018, Aniston has been cautious about diving headfirst into romance. In August 2023, she admitted to WSJ Magazine that her parents’ divorce had a big impact on her love life — and it’s why she’s OK navigating life alone sometimes. “Watching my family’s relationship didn’t make me kind of go, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to do that,’” she said of her late parents, Nancy Dow and John Aniston. “It was almost easier to just be kind of solo. So, I didn’t have any real training in that give-and-take.”

Even Theroux had some advice for anyone who would like to take Aniston out on a date because she lives in a fishbowl. “People will always want to gossip and say things, but you have to find that balance,” he told Esquire in April 2021. “And having been in a public relationship, it’s much more fun not being in a public relationship.”
