Taylor Swift was in her party girl era this time last year but we’re not expecting to see her out and about in Los Angeles this Oscars weekend for one reason.
In March 2024, Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce made a low-key appearance at Madonna and Guy Oseary’s Oscars after-party to celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night. In the midst of her impressive Eras Tour and on the heels of Kelce’s Super Bowl LVIII win, the pair had plenty to celebrate.
However, this year, we’re guessing Swift might be staying far away from the Oscars to avoid any run-ins with her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who is due to present one of the awards during this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.
Swift and Alwyn dated from May 2017 until April 2023 before Swift moved on with Kelce that summer — after a brief fling with Matty Healy, of course.
Kelce and Swift have also been laying low since the Kansas City Chiefs lost out on a third consecutive Super Bowl win against the Philadelphia Eagles. The couple are reportedly back in the US after enjoying a private getaway.
“Taylor and Travis had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year,” a source told Page Six this week. “Taylor and Travis have stepped out for a date night since returning to the US but went unnoticed when they did so. They weren’t photographed or anything and enjoyed a low-key night out on the town together.”
