Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman Were Couple Goals at the 2018 CMAs

After 12 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are still totally in love — and that was apparent during the 2018 Country Music Association Awards. During the broadcast on Wednesday, Kidman sang along to Urban’s live performance and cried along with him when he took home the award for entertainer of the year. They also shared an intimate moment in the audience after his win was announced.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, when Urban played his hit song “Never Comin’ Down,” Kidman not only sang along from the crowd, but stood up and showed off some dance moves too. The outlet reports that Urban was especially excited to play the song at the CMAs, and it’s obvious why: He received a massive standing ovation after the performance.

“It’s a blast playing it. We’ve been opening the tour with this song every night and I’m so thrilled we get to do it here at CMAs, particularly with this production,” Urban told ET.

Later, when Urban won the entertainer of the year award, he and Kidman both showed a lot of emotion. According to ET, Kidman burst into tears, then shared a tight hug with her husband before he took to the stage for his acceptance speech. During his speech, Urban also teared up as he thanked Kidman and their kids.

Giphy.

“Baby girl, I love you so much,” Urban said, then he went on to thank the couple’s two daughters. “I’m beyond shocked. Everyone at home, Faith and Munchkin, I love you. Thank you for supporting Daddy and loving me through all of what I do. Same with you, baby girl, for making it worthwhile.”

OK, we might be crying too.

Urban also thanked his fans and country radio for the honor of the award, which is much coveted in the country music world. “I wish my dad was alive to see this, but he’s watching over me tonight,” he said. “And I just feel very, very blessed and very grateful that I get to do what I do. Thank you, all of you, for coming out, and God bless country music. God bless you all.”
