The Teaser Trailer for the One Tree Hill Lifetime Christmas Movie Is Finally Here

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and you know what that means — it’s also time for the most wonderful Lifetime holiday movies! The network just gave us all something to feel very merry about: the first trailer for a new Christmas movie featuring a long-awaited One Tree Hill reunion.

In the short but sweet teaser for The Christmas Contract, five former cast members of the beloved CW teen drama can be seen: Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton, also known to OTH fans as Peyton, Clay, Rachel, “Skills” and Chris.

And, basically, the movie looks like the kind of charming, endearingly cheesy Lifetime holiday romcom you always hoped it could be.

The premise? Jolie (Burton) is a web designer who recently went through a bad breakup and is dreading her holiday trip home to Louisiana — largely because she learns her ex is already bringing his new girlfriend to meet his fam.

So, Jolie’s lawyer BFF Naomi (Ackles) creates a “Christmas contract” between her brother Jack (Buckley) and Jolie that guarantees his services as a faux-boyfriend for the holidays. In return, Jolie will use her graphic design skills to create a website for Jack’s new novel.

The only downside we can report is that you’ll have to wait until Thanksgiving Day to watch the film in its festive entirety. However, you will be handsomely rewarded for your patience — not only with the movie itself but also with a reunion special immediately after the premiere.

That hour of television will feature The Christmas Contract stars along with a few other familiar faces. Are you ready for this? Guest appearances include fellow former OTH stars Stephen Colletti (Chase), Bevin Prince (Bevin) and Paul Johansson (Dan).

Sadly, Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) and Sophia Bush (Brooke) don’t make cameos in this oh-so-special Christmas flick. But, hey, there’s always next year, right? The OTH-stacked cast of The Christmas Contract is gift enough for now.

Don’t miss the movie/reunion when it airs on Lifetime Thursday at 8/7c.
