While Christina El Moussa is no stranger to tabloid headlines (or ignoring them), one publication’s attempt to stir up drama has the Flip or Flop host seeing red. She’s out to set the record straight — there is not, and never was, any feud between her and fellow HGTV star, former Fixer Upper cohost Joanna Gaines.
El Moussa took to Instagram on Tuesday to make it abundantly clear she will not tolerate false narratives that pit her against Gaines. Posting a photo of a magazine spread in In Touch with the headline “HGTV’s Joanna & Christina: It’s War,” El Moussa took the tabloid to task.

“What a load of Bullshit,” she wrote. “I’ve never commented on a tabloid EVER (and have swallowed a load of shit from these tabloids). #intouchmagazine this is disgusting. I have always been a huge supporter of female entrepreneurs… #girlboss is my motto. Nothing but respect for @joannagaines. #goodvibesonly.”
According to the In Touch article, El Moussa was allegedly upset over the fact that Gaines and her husband, Chip, would be returning to TV — not on HGTV but on their own network, making them potential competition for El Moussa’s new HGTV series titled Christina on the Coast.

Although the Gaineses have yet to reveal further details about what their new network or any shows on it will entail, one would presume the programming will remain in the Fixer Upper wheelhouse.
As for El Moussa, her new series will reportedly focus on her Southern California interior design business along with her relationship with ex-husband (and former Flip or Flop cohost), Tarek El Moussa.

Kudos to El Moussa for coming out swinging against the rumors in the name of female empowerment. As her supportive message proves, just because the women are both at the top of their game, it doesn’t mean they have to push each other off the platform.
