Dax Shepard Shuts Down Cheating Rumors

Another day, another rumor about a celebrity couple. This time, Julie Andrews’ granddaughter, Kayti Edwards, told the Daily Mail that she and Dax Shepard had an affair two years after he and Kristen Bell started dating. The outlet published photos of the pair making out in a photo booth, along with a salacious headline, on Thursday. Later that same day, Shepard posted a screenshot of the story on his Instagram and refuted Edwards’ claims in the caption.

“Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9,” Shepard wrote, opposing Edwards’ claim that she and Shepard met up at a party in 2009 (after going on a few dates in 2005) and made out in a photo booth before going back to a friend’s nearby home to have sex. Shepard continued, “Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me. I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it’s about my #1, Brad Pitt.” He included a smiley face as well.

In her interview with the Daily Mail, Edwards alleged that in 2009, “There was a photo booth and I remember people were standing in line for this photo booth. And Dax grabbed me and was like, ‘Let’s pick this up where we left off,’ and he threw me into this photo booth with him.”

Edwards also claimed that Shepard told her to keep the photos, saying, “I can’t take these home.” She also told the outlet, “I don’t want anything to do with Dax. I wish him well. I wish them to be happy. I hope that they’re happily married. I mean, they have children. So my wish is that they’re happy and stable for the kids.”

This isn’t the first time Shepard and Bell have dealt with rumors about their marriage. In October, Shepard slammed the Star for making wild claims about the couple’s sex life, and in September, they dealt with controversy surrounding Bell’s claims that she sometimes vapes weed around Shepard, despite his 14 years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. At the end of the day, though, their confidence in each other is what matters more than any headline.
