It appears there may soon be another Kardashian-West to keep up with! According to Us Weekly, multiple sources have confirmed that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West are expecting their fourth child via surrogate. And it won’t be long before the new addition joins big siblings North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, 11 months — Us Weekly claims the baby is due “in very early May.”
If true, the news marks a change of tune for the family. As recently as late August, Kardashian West said she and West were not actively moving forward with plans for a fourth child.
“I don’t know, I don’t know. I read something that it was, you know — none of that was true,” Kardashian West told E! News of rumors the couple was expanding their family. “But I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so I don’t know.”
She continued, “We start filming season 16 next week, so if I think about it more and it’s gonna happen, you’ll definitely see it on the show. But as of now, no.”

Of course, Kardashian West also revealed in October that West had been hounding her for more babies. He is “stuck on seven,” Kardashian West told a friend at the time.
Although not confirmed, a source told Us Weekly that the high-profile couple has had one detail of their family expansion figured out since baby Chicago was born in January. “Kim and Kanye were already talking about baby No. 4 when Chicago was just a couple of days old. And they absolutely would use the surrogate again. They love her,” the source said.
It makes sense that the Wests wouldn’t want to start over with the surrogate-picking process.
During an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in December 2017, Kardashian West opened up about the journey, saying, “Getting a surrogate and finding someone that you really trust really is so much more difficult of a situation than you could really imagine. You have to, like, make sure that their lifestyle is healthy and they have to go through psychological testing, and it was maybe a year before we finalized our current situation.”

All of the frustration and hard work vetting potential surrogates proved to be worth the hassle, though, because Kardashian West feels as though they found a perfect match for their family.
“But I think everything happens for a reason because the surrogate that I really loved got approved and she is such a nice person. Like, she’s so easy to talk to and she’s the perfect fit for us, but we have to decide quickly, are we really going through with this or are we gonna wait until we feel more prepared,” she said.
Clearly, they decided they were ready, with Chicago being the result of that decision. Per Us Weekly, the Wests had “only one embryo left” after baby Chicago, and the sex of that embryo is reportedly male.
So, if the couple confirms news of this fourth child, it will only be a matter of time before we find out whether little Saint really is getting a baby bro to even up the family dynamics to two boys and two girls.
