Behind-the-Scenes Moments From Golden Globes 2019 You May Have Missed

During Sunday’s Golden Globes, a lot of exciting moments went down in addition to many surprise wins (hello, Glenn Close). If for some reason you didn’t tune in or have yet to watch (that’s what DVRs are for, right?) allow us to recap by sharing some behind-the-scene moments you may have missed at the 2019 Golden Globes.

The evening started out pretty well, with hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg pretty much killing it with their monologue and producing genuine laughs both in the audience and at home. Oh, who also took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a television drama series for her role in Killing Eve, shined an important light on the changes in Hollywood when it comes to diversity.

As Oh stated, “I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change.” She continued, “I’m not fooling myself; next year could be different. It probably will be. But right now, this moment is real. Trust me; it is real. Because I see you. And I see you. All of these faces of change. And now, so will everyone else.”

It was an empowering and emotional moment that those watching the award show live experienced together, and there were many other memories being created behind the scenes — below are just a few.
