Carey Hart’s Message for Pink on Their 13th Wedding Anniversary Is So Sweet

Time flies when you’re having fun! Just ask Carey Hart and Pink, who are celebrating 13 years of marriage. Hart took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a sweet message to his wife of more than a decade, sharing a photo of the pair looking happier than ever in front of a stretch of beautiful coastal scenery.

“Can’t believe it’s our 13th wedding anniversary,” he wrote. “Who would have thought two misfits like us could pull it off!!! I’m very grateful for you, baby. We have created an amazing life and family together. I love you. #17years strong.”

Although the couple didn’t necessarily take an anniversary vacation, they did just return from a family ski trip to Mammoth Lakes, California, with their two kids: Willow, 7, and Jameson, 2.

On Saturday, Pink shared a snapshot of the four all bundled up and ready for the slopes, saying, “Thank you @mammothmountain for another beautiful adventure in the snow.”

The couple’s current happiness is made all the more special by the fact their earlier years were much more tumultuous. A mere two years after getting married in Costa Rica in 2006, Hart and Pink split up temporarily in 2008. “We were working all the time; there was so much time between our visits. Carey would see me for five days and be gone for six weeks. We’d try to fix everything in those five days — you just can’t do that,” Pink told Redbook in 2013 of their estrangement.

But they reconciled a year later and have been putting in the work to maintain a strong, healthy relationship ever since.

In 2016, Pink revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that the secret to their success is that they “take breaks.” However, she gave more insight into their marriage during an interview with USA Today in October 2017. “He knows when he goes too far and he’ll apologize, which is a wonderful trait in a human being. I do not possess that trait: I will go too far and still not apologize,” she admitted, adding, “It’s awful to be married to me. He’s the rock and I’m the storm.”
