Out with the old and in with the new, eh? We’re not just talking about the transition from 2018 to 2019… no way. No, we’re also referring to the fact that Christina El Moussa changed her last name to Anstead on her Instagram, making it official for all the world to see that the next chapter of her life has well and truly begun with new husband Ant Anstead by her side.
According to Us Weekly, she switched her name to Anstead on Instagram sometime in the past week. Interestingly, it’s not clear if the surname change will carry over into her professional endeavors or if she will remain “Christina El Moussa” going forward.
If you’ve been tracking El Moussa’s relationship with Anstead since they got together in October 2017, then you’ll know that over the last year and three months the couple has slowly been blending their lives together, culminating in their surprise wedding in December. Since they began dating, El Moussa and Anstead have: gone on vacation with their children from their respective previous marriages; moved into a house Newport Beach, California, together; started a precious tradition of writing down their favorite memories and storing them in a jar so they can all be read aloud at the end of the year. Now, with a marriage and honeymoon in the books, they’ve finally cemented their commitment to one another, ostensibly with El Moussa’s public name change acting as the cherry on top of it all. We love them so much!

As the couple heads into 2019 side by side, El Moussa will be preparing for the premiere of her HGTV series Christina on the Coast, which will be premiering soon. There’s also the upcoming eighth season of Flip or Flop. It looks like El Moussa’s year is starting off on the highest of notes and it truly shows no sign of stopping.
