Friendship never ends, even if you choose not to go on a reunion tour with your besties. In a new interview with The Guardian, Victoria Beckhamcommented on her feelings about the Spice Girls reunion tour, happening later this year in the U.K. Although the now-fashion designer once again confirmed that she won’t be making an appearance onstage as her former alter ego, Posh Spice, she also admitted that not being involved in the tour feels strange.
Speaking to The Guardian, Beckham said choosing not to join Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice) and Melanie C (Sporty Spice) was “not at all” a difficult decision. “What I do now is my passion and a full-time job,” Beckham said. She also admitted, “I’m excited to see [the show], though. And I’m sure when I’m there and they are onstage, there will be a part of me that feels a bit left out. Because even after all this, a part of me will always be a Spice Girl.”
Although Beckham was present at an all-band meeting in February of last year, her involvement with the tour seemed to stop there. Mel B even dressed as Beckham for Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party in 2018, wearing a mask of her former bandmate’s face and holding a sign that read, “No I am not going on tour.”
Honestly, we don’t blame Beckham. She is busy building her fashion empire, as noted by The Guardian. She told the publication in September at her first-ever London catwalk show, “I’m ready to put my foot on the gas.” In the interview published on Saturday, she clarified, “At the moment the [Victoria Beckham] brand is significantly bigger than the business. I want them to be the same size. That is 100% the plan, to reach as many women as I can.”

In addition to a growing fashion business, Beckham is also a mother of four whose marriage to David Beckham is often in the spotlight. “People are interested in my personal life,” she told The Guardian. “And sometimes that works in my favor and sometimes it’s things that I don’t like. I’m not going to let it get me down.”
