The work family that plays together stays together! Clearly, Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager and Carson Daly’s wife, Siri, don’t get enough of seeing each other around the Today set. To celebrate the long weekend leading up to Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, the three women escaped for a joint vacation with their kids and husbands.
Naturally, the women took to social media to share their fun-filled getaway. On Monday, Hager posted a photo of the three on a sofa in a fit of laughter, all with their daughters on their laps. “Girls rule… #andcharley #andhusbands #andqueso #andmatchingPJs,” Hager wrote, with “#andcharley” being a nod to the boy of the troupe, Guthrie’s 2-year-old son.

Guthrie then shared a similar photo of herself, Hager and Siri Daly along with Guthrie’s 4-year-old daughter Vale, Hager’s 3-year-old daughter Poppy and 5-year-old daughter Mila and Daly’s 4-year-old daughter London and 6-year-old daughter Etta.
However, she added a few additional photos to the mix, making it a mini-slideshow. “Matching by day and by night #upstateofmind,” Guthrie captioned it.

Daly shared a photo of the three women in simple green short-sleeved T-shirts, captioning the photo with the T-shirts’ mantra, “Upstate of mind.” She added a heart-eye emoji for good measure.

Guthrie also shared a photo of the queso that made Hager’s hashtags, joking of the cheesy dip, “From keto to Dorito: my weekend in a nutshell.”

In the often-super-competitive world of morning TV, such strong connections that extend on-screen and off can be hard to come by. But Guthrie and Hager hit it off from the minute Guthrie became a Today coanchor and was seated next to Hager in the makeup room.
At the time, they knew very little of each other. However, in addition to working alongside each other, the pair turned out to be New York City neighbors! Suffice it to say, it didn’t take long for them to become close friends.
Now, Guthrie told E! News’ Jason Kennedy, they’re an invaluable part of each other’s lives. “She’s one of my closest friends,” Guthrie said, adding that the two have even become workout buddies. “We exercise together — well, we try to exercise. Most of the time, we just talk but it’s so fun to go to a place where it’s intense and all-consuming yet you are with people that you love and truly enjoy.”
The feeling is definitely mutual for Hager.
In a letter to Today, she gushed of Guthrie, “Sometimes, as I watch our daughters play like sisters or when we spend an entire car ride talking about life so rapidly that we barely breathe, I can’t believe Savannah and I are new friends, that our friendship just started only five years ago. And then I’m grateful that this job brought us together.”
