Victoria Beckham Might Be Tempted to Join the Spice Girls Onstage at a Concert

Is it possible Victoria Beckham will join the Spice Girls onstage this summer after all? The former Posh Spice made an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, where she confirmed she’ll definitely be taking her kids to see the Spice Girls on their reunion tour, even if she isn’t participating in the show herself.

“I’ll always be a Spice Girl,” the now-fashion designer said on Thursday’s show. “And I’m so proud of everything I achieved. I’m proud of them. It’s gonna be the best show. I can’t wait to take my kids and see it. But, you know, with my business now, I just wouldn’t be able to do it… but I wish them so much luck and love, and it’s going to be great and, in spirit, I will absolutely be there with them.”

Beckham reiterated that it wasn’t a hard decision to turn down going on tour, though she also reflected on what her time as Posh Spice meant to her: “With the Spice Girls, it was just great to travel the world, be with my best friends, have fun, you know, really spread the girl power message.” She added, “And for me now, it’s still about that. But now it’s about empowering women through fashion.”

In an interview with The Guardian that was published last week, Beckham admitted, “I’m sure when I’m [at the show] and they are on stage, there will be a part of me that feels a bit left out. Because even after all this, a part of me will always be a Spice Girl.”

However, when GMA cohost Michael Strahan teased her about that feeling during Thursday’s episode, asking if she won’t be tempted to get onstage, she simply said, “Well, I mean, I don’t know. Let’s see.”

If Beckham does decide to join her friends onstage, it wouldn’t be the first time she’s taken up her old moves since the group performed at the London Olympics closing ceremonies in 2012. During London Fashion Week in 2018, her first time there as a designer with her line, Beckham briefly performed “Spice Up Your Life” at a party in her honor.

Of course, we totally respect her decision to forgo touring with her BFFs, but we must admit it, would be fun to see all five Spice Girls together again, even if just for one song.
