He may spend every Monday night making matches for romantic hopefuls, but Bachelor host Chris Harrison was focused on a love of his own at Entertainment Weekly’s pre-SAG Awards party Saturday. There, he and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Lauren Zima made their official red carpet debut as a couple. (No rose ceremony required!)
E! News reported that the two seemed super-cozy together throughout the evening: “Chris had his hand on Lauren’s back as they waited at the bar. They looked very coupley and Chris was whispering in Lauren’s ear.”
Zima later posted a photo of the pair on the red carpet on Instagram, simply captioning it with a red heart emoji.

Harrison and Zima, who posed together for pictures with their arms around each other, have reportedly been dating for a few months. Although they haven’t outright confirmed their relationship, Zima has been hinting about their status on social media.
Last month, she posted a snapshot of herself with Harrison and a poster of current Bachelor star Colton Underwood. “The two most important men in my life, TBH,” Zima wrote on Instagram. “All the latest #TheBachelorexclusives up at etonline.com: @chrisbharrison talks #coltonunderwood’s reveal that is unlike anything the show has seen before.”

Back in July, Zima shared another photo of the pair together in a professional capacity — with a flirty caption. “Happy birthday to the man, the myth, the #BachelorNation legend, @chrisbharrison,” Zima started the post, adding in parentheses, “may i note Chris was lookin’ FLY at the taping.”

Were they already a couple then, or could Zima’s compliment have kicked things off?
It’s nice to see Harrison pursue his own matters of the heart for a change. Since he and college sweetheart Gwen Harrison announced their divorce in 2012 after nearly two decades of marriage, Harrison has essentially been flying solo. Or, at the very least, he’s been flying under the radar where dating is concerned.
In 2016, he explained to the Daily Beast that his devotion to his job often interferes with his ability to get out there on the dating scene. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been looking for a connection, too.
“It’s been cathartic to have work which I love, and to dive into that and my kids [son Joshua, 14, and daughter Taylor, 12, from his marriage to Gwen] and make sure they’re good. But they are now, and so am I. And I would love to find love now. Look, as you can tell by [his romance novel, The Perfect Letter] and by the show, I’m a hopeless, hopeless romantic just like everybody else, so hopefully I’ll follow my own advice one day,” Harrison said.
Judging by the way he and Zima were making eyes at each other on the red carpet, it would appear that day has finally come.
