All the Star-Studded Super Bowl Commercials You Don’t Want to Miss

With the Patriots and the Rams turning out a low-scoring Super Bowl this year, there were undoubtedly many of us who tuned in for something other than football: the commercials. Each year, brands compete for bragging rights over who debuts the best ad during the big game. And this year, they enlisted lots o’ celebrities to increase their odds. From Jason Bateman to Chrissy Teigen, here are the celebrities who scored choice parts in this year’s star-studded celebrity Super Bowl commercials.

Christina Applegate for M&M’s

Christina Applegate is moms everywhere reprimanding her unruly kids in the back seat while driving down the road. Only, her pint-size passengers aren’t kids… they’re M&M’s.

Serena Williams for Bumble

She may be happily married, but Serena Williams pairing up with social dating network Bumble doesn’t have anything to do with her love life. Rather, she reminds women everywhere that the ball is in their court. Rita Ora sort of makes a cameo too, as her “Soul Survivor” plays in the background.

Jason Bateman for Hyundai

Hyundai enlists the hilarious help of Jason Bateman to illustrate how painless car shopping can be thanks to Hyundai’s Shopper Assurance.

Sarah Michelle Gellar for Olay

For the Super Bowl, Olay played off Sarah Michelle Gellar’s scary movie roots with a spot about “killer skin.”

Chance the Rapper & the Backstreet Boys for Doritos

In promotion of Doritos new Flamin’ Hot Nacho chips, Chance the Rapper attempts the iconic dance moves to the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way.” Their response? “Terrible, dude.”

2 Chainz & Adam Scott for Expensify

Unlikely collaboration though it may be, 2 Chainz and Adam Scott make one hell of a team in a parody music video for Expensify. And TBH, that track is still stuck in our heads. Well played, Expensify. Well played.

Steve Carell, Cardi B & Lil Jon for Pepsi

Pepsi brought out the proverbial big guns for a commercial featuring Steve Carell, Lil Jon and Cardi B emphasizing how much more than “okurrrr” the soda is.

Kristin Chenoweth for Avocados from Mexico

Avocados from Mexico tapped Kristin Chenoweth to judge the fictional Human Canine Competition. The grand prize? Tasty avocados, of course.

Alex Rodriguez & Charlie Sheen for Planters

J.Lo’s main squeeze made his Super Bowl commercial debut alongside Charlie Sheen to show that “Mr. Peanut is always there in crunch time.”

Jeff Bridges & Sarah Jessica Parker for Stella Artois

People don’t expect it when characters as legendary as The Big Lebowski’s The Dude and Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw shake up their routines. But Jeff Bridges and Sarah Jessica Parker reprise their most enduring roles to do just that for a good cause as part of Stella Artois’ partnership with Water.org.

Bo Jackson for Sprint

Sports legend Bo Jackson helps Sprint see the logic in pointing out the potential cost savings of switching to Sprint — as opposed to a robot’s suggestion of having Jackson hold a mermaid playing a keytar while a “bird horse” flaps by his head.

Terry Bradshaw & more for NFL

In what many fans are hailing as the commercial highlight of the night, the NFL brought together famous football players past and present for a look at what happens when someone yells, “Fumble!” at an upscale event full of NFL’ers.

The Property Brothers for ADT

“Property Brothers” Drew and Jonathan Scott obviously know houses, so it makes sense home security company ADT enlisted the pros for their Super Bowl spot.

Michael Bublé for Bubly

Can you blame crooner Michael Bublé for believing Bubly sparkling water is named after him? This play on pronunciation is pretty darn funny.

Harrison Ford & more for Amazon Alexa

Amazon nails it again with a Super Bowl spot for Alexa, this time showing all the Alexa features that didn’t make the cut. Forest Whitaker, Harrison Ford and the Broad City gals all cameo as part of the beta-testing program.

Zoë Kravitz for Michelob Ultra Pure Gold

In a departure from their flashier ads of the past, Michelob Ultra brings in Big Little Lies star Zoë Kravitz to share the allure of the brand’s Pure Gold beer.

John Legend, Chrissy Teigen & Adam Levine for Pampers

Can you say “awwwww”? Legend, Teigen and their almost-too-cute kids Miles and Luna show off their love for Pampers as Legend tackles “Stinky Booty Duty.”
