Gwyneth Paltrow Sure Knows How to Clap Back at Instagram Haters

Make way for one of the many celebrity queens of Instagram! Recently, Gwyneth Paltrow shut down an Instagram troll in the best way possible. As pointed out by the Comments by Celebs Instagram account, the actor was just trying to have fun with a meme shared by the private Instagram account crazybitchprobs_, and some commenter attempted to ruin the moment. Also, yes, an Oscar-winning actor apparently follows an account with the name crazybitchprobs_. See? She really is an IG queen.

Next to a meme of an older woman in a pink dress sitting on her bed making a kissy face, which read, “Me on Instagram in 40 years still reminding my ex that he ain’t shit,” Paltrow commented, “I was wondering where my Oscar dress went…”

How hilarious is that? Of course, Paltrow’s referring to the pink Ralph Lauren dress she wore to the 71st Academy Awards in 1999, where she also took home the best actress award for her role in Shakespeare in Love. In a way, the Goop founder is also poking fun at herself, which makes her all the more amazing.

As funny as the moment was, it didn’t last long, thanks to an Instagram user who replied to Paltrow, “these comments from gwyn are fake as fuck. feel bad for poor millennial that ghost writes them. hope they are getting paid well or some goop credit.”

Paltrow wasn’t having it, so she responded accordingly: “sit on it I write all this dumb stuff myself you jackass what else do moms do in the bath with a glass of wine [eye roll emoji].” Mic drop. Like Comments by Celebs wrote, “Early nominee for clapback of the week.” We totally cosign.

This isn’t the first time Paltrow has won Instagram. As shared by Comments by Celebs on Jan. 14, she responded to a video shared by another private account called sourpsycho that showed three little girls dancing very differently to an unknown song. The post was captioned, “Are you left, middle, or right?”

Paltrow responded by writing, “I’m on the left until Drunk in love comes on and then I am MIDDLE BABY, YOU CAN’T STOP ME.”
