No host at the Oscars? No problem. A slew of celebrities have been announced to host the 91st annual Academy Awards, and now even more names have been added to the Oscar presenter ranks. Among the standouts are Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and her former on-screen beau, Jason Momoa, whose turn as the titular character in last year’s Aquaman blew us away.
According to E! News, Academy Award winners and nominees including Javier Bardem, Angela Bassett, Laura Dern, Melissa McCarthy and Samuel L. Jackson will take part in the ceremony on Feb. 24. Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman will also be there, along with Sarah Paulson, James McAvoy, KiKi Layne, Stephan James and Keegan-Michael Key.
In addition to the names that have already been announced, this lineup of presenters is truly star-studded and will make for a very memorable night. This year celebrates historic nominees and incredible performers, many of whom will grace the stage to honor their fellow showmen.
“The array of talent anchoring the show this year has brought some of the most indelible moments in recent cinematic memory to audiences around the world,” Oscars producer Donna Gigliotti said in a statement. “They join together to reconnect us with the nominees, their tremendous movies, and outstanding performances.”

As we previously noted in our coverage of the first round of Oscars presenters, many of the 2018 Oscar winners, including Frances McDormand, Allison Janney, Sam Rockwell and Gary Oldman, are not currently among the confirmed presenters, which breaks with traditions of years past. Typically, actors who take home awards in top categories one year present those awards the following year.
Of course, there’s still time before the ceremony, so we shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. The 91st annual Academy Awards air Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
