Before you start worrying, it’s best not to get worked up because nothing has been confirmed. That said, according to a source who spoke with E! News, Lady Gaga and Christian Carino may have broken up. The insider claims the two split up sometime last week and Carino is reportedly “desperately trying to get back together” with the 2019 Oscar-nominated actress. However, two other sources informed the publication that Gaga and Carino are still very much together.
At this point in time, everyone should take the breakup reports with a grain of salt. Neither Gaga nor Carino has made any type of statement regarding the rumors, which originated at the 2019 Grammy Awards when fans pointed out that Gaga attended alone and wasn’t wearing her massive engagement ring, as reported by E! News. Furthermore, many fans found it odd that Gaga didn’t thank Carino when she won best pop duo/group performance for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.
A source told E! News, “She just wasn’t wearing her ring due to performing. They have put all their wedding plans on hold until after Gaga’s busy season but still plan to get married this year.”

The last time Gaga and Carino were seen publicly was at the 2019 SAG Awards at the end of January, where they extremely affectionate and the Golden Globe winner proudly displayed her engagement ring.

Some might have also noticed that Gaga and Carino haven’t posted any photos together on social media for a while. At the time of this post, Carino’s most recent Instagram of Gaga was posted on Feb. 5. It showed her from the back as she threw coins into a fountain.
He captioned the image, “‘Beneath the makeup and behind the smile, I am just a girl who wishes for the world.’ Marilyn Monroe.”

Also on Feb. 5, Gaga posted three separate photos on Instagram of tulips spelling out “I miss you.” It’s unclear who the message was for or from, although it’s quite possible this was the singer’s way of telling Carino she missed him, or vice versa.
Speaking of their Instagrams, as reported by E! News and verified by SheKnows at the time of publication, Gaga isn’t following Carino, but he is following her. It’s unclear if Gaga never followed the talent agent on Instagram to begin with.

With all this in mind, we should note that Gaga and Carino don’t typically post a ton of material about each other on social media, nor are they a celebrity couple who shares a lot about their relationship. They are extremely private. For example, the former American Horror Story star confirmed their engagement almost one year after engagement rumors surfaced.
At Elle’s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood celebration in October 2018, Us Weekly reported that Gaga referred to Carino as her fiancé when giving a speech. “Thank you to all the loved ones in my life,” she said. “Bobby [Campbell, her manager], I love you. My fiancé, Christian. All the loved ones in my life who take care of me every day. And Ryan Murphy, thanks for giving me my first leading role [in American Horror Story: Hotel]. You know that Golden Globe belongs to you.”
Whatever is going on with Gaga and Carino remains unknown, but it’s best not to jump to any conclusions.
