Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon Aren’t Married Yet, but They’re Already Talking Babies

Is that the future pitter-patter of more Bachelor Nation babies we hear? It would seem so! Bachelor in Paradise lovebirds Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon hinted that having kids may happen sooner rather than later for the couple, and we are all kinds of excited about it.

While they currently have their hands full planning for their upcoming wedding in August, that doesn’t keep Haibon and Iaconetti from considering what life might look like after they make it down the aisle. Speaking with Us Weekly about possibly having kids soon, Haibon shared, “We always have plans that we want to have kids in 2020 or 2022. But I feel like we might have some sooner.”

The couple — who met on Bachelor in Paradise and fell in love after the show ended — seem similarly fluid when it comes to how many kids they want… to an extent, at least.

“It’s really about the gender. Because I want a boy to have another brother or a girl to have a sister. But I also need to have a girl… I think that when you do the math, it equals out to three,” said Iaconetti.

Yep, you read that right. In a few years’ time, there could be several little Iaconetti-Haibons running around. But first, they have to get through pregnancy — and Iaconetti is realistic about how that might play out, given her tendency toward melodrama.

“[Jared] knows he’s going to deal with a handful when it comes to pregnant Ashley,” she admitted. “I always say, ‘It’s totally fine, I can go live with my parents for nine months.’ It may be the best that way. My mom would cater to me so much.”

And hey, the pair will already have the perfect bedtime story to read their progeny (whenever they arrive): Lucy and Clark: A Story of Puppy Love, a book they are cowriting that will be released on March 26, 2019. “It’s loosely based upon our love story, but really it’s a story about overcoming your fears and stepping outside your comfort zone,” Haibon said.

Until the time comes when they can read to their own little ones, though, Haibon and Iaconetti will have to settle for babysitting for their Bachelor Nation friends, like Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert or Carly and Evan Bass.

Plus, we can’t forget their current child and object of their singular obsession, their puppy, Lois Lane. They’ve already started reading the book to her, so it seems these two might just make fantastic parents in the future.
