Helen Mirren, Danai Gurira & Paul Rudd Among the 3rd Round of 2019 Oscars Presenters

Just when you thought the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences couldn’t possibly squeeze any more A-listers into the big night on Sunday, they’ve revealed the third round of 2019 Oscar presenters. Suffice it to say, there’s some serious star power in the latest group of entertainers who’ll be helping to hand out those coveted golden statuettes.

This latest announcement featuring a star-studded lineup of Oscars category presenters along with the two rounds preceding it, serves as the Academy’s solution to what has been a surprisingly controversy-filled year for the prestigious award show. From the show going hostless to the ever-changing status of what will actually be shown during the show’s broadcast, there’s been a growing curiosity about exactly how the 2019 Oscars will be structured and, subsequently, how it will play out. For now, it seems this is the academy’s best way to figure out how to fill in any potential gaps that would have been filled by the host — and we’re so into it. This third round of confirmed presenters includes longtime fan favorites like Paul Rudd, veteran entertainers like Helen Mirren and rising stars like Danai Gurira.

Here’s the full list of presenters named in the third round of tweets from the academy.

“We are excited to welcome these amazing artists and filmmakers to the show,” said Oscars executive producer Donna Gigliotti and coproducer and director Glenn Weiss in an official statement on the Oscars website. “They bring excitement, momentum, and elements of surprise to this year’s Oscars.” They aren’t joking, either! From young Hollywood stars like Elsie Fisher to Oscar-winning powerhouses like Helen Mirren and Michael Keaton, the third round of Oscar presenters really runs the gamut.

We’re admittedly psyched to see Jordan and Gurira join some of their previously announced Black Panther costars as presenters. Perry, Henry, Mulaney and Rudd will surely bring some levity (read: laughter) to the evening. Williams? Well, he can do no wrong. It’s always a joy seeing Star Trek: Discovery’s Yeoh, and we’ll take all the Ritter we can get given the recent cancellation of Jessica Jones.

In case you missed it, the previously announced presenters include Awkwafina, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Tina Fey, Whoopi Goldberg, Brie Larson, Jennifer Lopez, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Amandla Stenberg, Charlize Theron, Tessa Thompson, Constance Wu, Javier Bardem, Angela Bassett, Chadwick Boseman, Emilia Clarke, Laura Dern, Samuel L. Jackson, Stephan James, Keegan-Michael Key, KiKi Layne, James McAvoy, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Momoa and Sarah Paulson.

The 2019 Oscars will air Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
