But according to multiple sources, Lambert’s first husband, Shelton, is taking the news in stride… although he’s reportedly been caught a little off-guard like the rest of us.
Sources for Us Weekly claim Shelton found out about the marriage the same way the general public did, which was on Lambert’s Instagram. While he hasn’t been one to cast aspersions on Lambert since their split, Us Weekly’s sources say that apparently, he found it interesting that the announcement came only a week after Shelton and his girlfriend of four years, Gwen Stefani, met with a priest for marriage counseling.
“Blake commented to Gwen [that] the timing of Miranda’s announcement of the marriage was certainly curious,” sources alleged. Prior to Shelton’s relationship with Stefani, he and Lambert were one of country music’s most celebrated couples. They were together for six years and married for four before splitting in 2015. Still, Shelton reportedly isn’t stressing over Lambert saying I do to someone new right now.

In the grand scheme of things, the fact that Lambert got married doesn’t make any real difference to Shelton and Stefani — who by all accounts are very happy together. In particular, news of Lambert’s recent nuptials will reportedly have no bearing on Shelton and Lambert’s own trip down the aisle. “Gwen has three children to consider and Blake has been extremely aware of this at every step,” another source claimed to Us Weekly, referring to Stefani’s sons from her previous marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale. “The timing of Gwen and Blake’s wedding date is a work in progress… Just because Miranda got married in a quickie random situation doesn’t change anything for Gwen and Blake.”
A report by People appears to corroborate Shelton’s nonchalance over Lambert’s nuptials, with a source claiming, “He put Miranda in his rear-view mirror long ago. Miranda brings nothing positive to his life. Their marriage ended and he moved on. Ever since, he is grateful every day.”
Of the new love in his life, People’s source insisted, “Blake is crazy about Gwen, and all he sees are hearts in his eyes every day.” It goes without saying that any reports with sources unsubstantiated by the stars themselves should be taken with a grain of salt. However, when it comes to the way Shelton feels about Stefani, that much seems like a simple truth.
