We Finally Know When Wendy Williams Will Return to Her Show

Fans, rejoice! After taking an indefinite break from The Wendy Williams Show and TV in general due to complications from Graves’ disease, there’s good news on all fronts. Wendy Williams will return to TV starting on Mar. 4, with all-new episodes of her popular daytime talk show. This is great, not just because it means more Williams, but because it means her health has improved enough for her to return to work.

The Wendy Williams Show team took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the news. “Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in the daytime,” Debmar-Mercury, the show’s producer and distributor, said in a statement included in the post. “We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show on Monday, March 4th.”

Debmar-Mercury continued, “We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time,” the statement continued. “These people are, and always will be, true family to the show. And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now. And of course, we thank our station and business partners, who stepped up in such a supportive way.”

Williams also included a personal statement in the post: “Salute to Debmar-Mercury for believing from the start and thanks to my staff for tirelessly holding it down for me.”

Following hospitalization for a fractured shoulder and complications from her Graves’ disease, Williams announced an extended hiatus from her show in January. While she was away, guest hosts like Nick Cannon sat in her iconic purple chair in her stead.

No one is quite like Williams, so we’re glad that she’s feeling better and will be returning to work. We’ve missed her voice these past weeks.
