Is a romance about to get rekindled? Or is this just business as usual? Ben Affleck and ex-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, have us shook (well, just a little, but still) with their unexpected reunion over the weekend. According to Us Weekly, Affleck and Shookus reportedly met for a sushi dinner on Sunday at the high-profile Los Angeles restaurant Katsuya just six months after their split.
Admittedly, there’s not a lot to tell about the former couple’s reunion over raw fish. For now, here’s what we know (keep tabs on this because it could be important later): Affleck and Shookus entered the eatery separately. Affleck apparently looked simultaneously nervous and relaxed on the way into the restaurant (as evidenced by paparazzi pictures), but Shookus seemed happy as cameras clicked. Funnily enough, their outfits matched, as both wore hues of blue, which doesn’t mean much, but we love the synchronicity of it all.
The pair split up at the end of the summer last year. Affleck went into rehab on Aug. 22. A source talked to People at the time and said that Affleck’s addiction was allegedly a lot for Shookus: “Lindsay had been supporting Ben’s sobriety and going to meetings with him. She had him in meditation and they were doing it together. His recovery was something that was very important to both of them.”
The insider continued, saying: “It was very hard for her to break up with Ben, but she knew he wasn’t getting better and that it was time for her to step aside. She was trying to stay as close to him as possible so that he would stay on the right path, but ultimately it just wasn’t possible. She knew she had to let him hit bottom. […] All she wanted was for him to be happy and healthy. It was a difficult choice but the right one.”
Interestingly, Affleck dined with Shookus just hours after attending a wedding with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, as reported by Hollywood Life. The former married couple attended the wedding with their adorable offspring: daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.

Honestly, we’re just glad Garner is happy with new beau John Miller (especially since there are engagement rumors). As for Affleck, consider us already very invested in seeing how this all shakes out with Shookus. Could a rekindled romance be in the cards for these two?
