Luke Perry Reportedly Suffered a Stroke & Has Been Hospitalized

On Wednesday morning, Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Luke Perry reportedly suffered a stroke at his home in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Details about Perry’s hospitalization or the stroke he reportedly suffered are still unknown, but TMZ is reporting that paramedics rushed to Perry’s home when a call to help a stroke victim was received by the local fire department.

“We received a 911 call at 9:39 a.m. [local time] yesterday,” a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson told news outlets on Thursday without naming Perry specifically. “The firefighters and paramedics from our department responded and one ambulance transported to an area hospital.”

Perry’s rep confirmed to People that “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.” His condition at the time we’re reporting on it is still unclear.

The news of Perry’s stroke comes on the heels of the recent announcement that 90210 reboot was in the works at Fox with many of the original cast members, including alums Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris set to return. At the time of the announcement, it was unconfirmed whether Perry would return to reprise his role as Dylan McKay, the bad boy with a heart of gold, as originated on the hit ’90s show. Currently, Perry has been seen on the hit CW show Riverdale starring as Fred Andrews, father to Archie Andrews. He was seen shooting episodes recently on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.

Perry has no reported or known health concerns. There’s been no comment from the CW or Warner Bros. Television (who are behind Riverdale) on Perry’s hospitalization, nor has there been a statement from his reps given to news outlets about Perry’s hospitalization. With all this in mind, we can only hope that Perry makes a full recovery soon.
