The smash reality competition TV series America’s Got Talent just released a sneak peek of its two new judges, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough— and we couldn’t be more excited. This is the first time we’ve got to see the ladies on set in their new roles and their respective sneak peeks have us ready to watch the AGT season 14 premiere like, right now.
It was first reported back in February that Union and Hough would be joining AGT season 14 along with Terry Crews transferring over from AGT: The Champions to become the host of the original series, taking over for past host Tyra Banks. Union and Hough are set to replace former judges Mel B and Heidi Klum. In their new roles as judges, Union and Hough will be joining Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, who have been with the show since its earliest days.
On Monday, Union shared a video on Instagram of her first day on the set of AGT and she looked pretty pumped to be part of the long-running show. Also, can we add that we are loving her choice of a first day outfit? The hair, the sparkles, the attitude in her step as she walks to set — she’s killing it.
“So Judgy,” Union captioned the clip, continuing, “Day 1 as a new judge on @agt and I caught a lil vibe. Thanks @iamcardib & @brunomars for the [music].”

Hough captioned the happy shot, “First day on the new job… Wow. The energy of the crowd, the performers, the judges. It was INCREDIBLE! I am so excited for this new chapter in my life with a new TV fam and cannot wait to share it all with you. Big thanks to everyone involved for making yesterday the best first day ever!!”

Serving as a talent competition judge on a reality series is new terrain for Union, but Hough spent years at the judges’ table on another major TV reality competition we’re pretty sure you’ve heard of, including Dancing With the Stars. We’re all kinds of excited to see the chemistry between Union and Hough with their fellow judges as well as their reactions to the folks auditioning for them. All things considered, we’re definitely feeling the new energy onboard AGT.
Season 14 of AGT has no official premiere date just yet, but it’s likely the series to return to NBC sometime in the summer. We can’t wait!
