Well, well, well. If it isn’t Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost K-I-S-S-I-N-G again. Okay, they’re way past the kissing stage — and rumors are swirling that Johansson and Jost might get engaged soon But how soon is soon, realistically speaking? We may have gotten a little ahead of ourselves when we giddily predicted they’d already be engaged back in 2018, but can you blame us? We love this couple! So here’s where we’re currently at on the #ScarCoEngagementWatch2019.
According to the latest from People magazine, sources claim that Johansson and Jost are closer than ever to getting engaged — and they’ve been pretty darn close to it for a while now. Per one particular source, “Scarlett and Colin are in love and share many of the same interests and the same sense of humor. Scarlett is very happy.”
Another source claimed that “there is marriage talk with Colin”, further fueling speculation 2019 is the year that Johansson and Jost finally make their way to the altar.
In May 2017 the world collectively gasped when they found out that Johansson and Jost had hooked up (well, made out old school) at a Saturday Night Live afterparty after the episode where Johansson returned to the show to reprise her role as Ivanka Trump. Us Weekly later reported in December 2017, after the pair had apparently been together for a few months, that Jost was already “telling friends he wants to marry her.” A source told Us at the time that Jost “loves to take [Johansson] out and show her off… He’s head over heels.”
Since then, the two have been spotted in public numerous times since November 2017, when they braved the limelight together at the American Museum of Natural History Gala, where Johansson showed off Jost. Page Six has also reported lots of Hamptons, New York-style lovin’, with romantic dinner dates (with Jost stomping on another patron’s foot and immediately apologizing) and some requisite premarital kissing in the rain at a Diana Ross performance over Labor Day weekend.
The Daily Mail has reported that Jost and Johansson live together and are more in love than ever.We like to say, “Where there’s smoke, there’s cohabiting, and where there’s cohabiting, there’s a marriage proposal just waiting to happen.”
Mark our words. You heard it here first: Johansson and Jost will get engaged in 2019.
