In case you haven’t gotten your fill of drama related toKhloe Kardashian, the season 16 Keeping Up With the Kardashians features Kardashian sobbing a whole damn lot over the non-scandal scandal involving her, her ex Tristan Thompson and her estranged friend Jordyn Woods. Sure, the season 16 trailer gives you a sneak peek at Kanye West’s Sunday services, Kourtney Kardashian revealing she’s only ever been in love with one person and Kim Kardashian telling her family she and West are having another child. But verily I say unto thee: Kardashian and all her tears are the true star of this trailer.
As reported by E! News, the KUWTK season 16 trailer begins with Kardashian crying as she shares in a one-on-one interview, “It just sucks it has to be so public. I’m not just a TV show. Like, this is my life.” The camera then cuts to show Kourtney and Kylie Jenner doing modeling work while a voice is heard dramatically sniping, “You’ll put me down just to make yourself not look lame.” Yikes, this trailer is doing the most and we’re only at the 15-second mark!
From there, we see various clips of the aforementioned new storylines involving the other Kardashians, but what we really only have the bandwidth to focus on is the actual art that is Kardashian’s range of emotions shown in the rest of the trailer as she presumably processes the allegations that Woods and Thompson hooked up (Woods has strongly denied a hookup with Thompson since the news broke in February). At one point, she is sitting at a table and is seen screaming, “Liar!” as the video is edited so the screen turns red. Seriously, your favorite daytime soap has nothing on this trailer; the drama is extreme.
When Kardashian isn’t screaming into the void, she can be heard serving shade about the father of daughter True Thompson, saying, “Tristan might love me, whatever that means, [but] he has no respect for me whatsoever.” Incidentally, this line is heard in voiceover as we watch Kardashian model in a pink wig while silver confetti is poured over her head so IDK, take it as seriously as you want to.
The trailer ends with Kardashian sobbing in a one-on-one, saying, “True’s the best thing that’s happened to me, ever. Sometimes the world forgets just to be kind and that we’re all going through something. Maybe just be a little more understanding because it fucking sucks.”
While the trailer teases that there will be plenty of ground covered in the lives of the Kardashians, it’s clear that the events surrounding the dissolution of Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship will be the primary focus. You do not want to miss this season, so make sure to tune in when KUWTK season 16 premieres on Sunday, March 31 at 9/8c on E!.
