When you’ve got a good thing going, you celebrate it. Kelly Ripa wished hubby Mark Consuelos happy birthday on Saturday, and she definitely gave credit where credit is due. The Live With Kelly and Ryan host took to Instagram on Consuelos’ 48th birthday, March 30, to share a slideshow of both sweet and hunky photos of the Riverdale actor. And, c’mon, could these two be any more precious?
Ripa’s slideshow, set to Jake Shears’ song “Mississippi Delta (I’m Your Man),” features a mix of photos of Consuelos as a family man — husband to Ripa and father to their kids Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 16 — and shirtless photos that show off Consuelos’ trim physique. Ripa gave a nod to both aspects of her husband in the caption, saying, “Happy Birthday to the finest man! You are our heart and soul and rock and roll @instasuelos.” Consuelos responded to his wife’s sweet gesture with a string of heart emoji along with the words, “Thank you.”
And he wasn’t the only one to weigh in on the comment thread. Several of the high-profile couple’s famous friends jumped in to toast Consuelos, too. His Riverdale co-star Skeet Ulrich wrote, “Happy Birthday!! Another [year] wiser another year stronger.” Ripa’s former Hope & Faith co-star Faith Ford chimed in, “Love this! Awesome tribute to your man on his special day!! Happy birthday!” Among Consuelos’ other celebrity well-wishers were Priyanka Chopra, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Debi Mazar, Carrie Ann Inaba and Holly Peete.

Ripa routinely gives Consuelos shout-outs on social media. Last week, she posted a video which prominently featured her husband’s ripped abs. “This thirst trap Friday has been brought to you by the letters K and J. Thanks @kjapa,” Ripa captioned the video, thanking Consuelos’ Riverdale co-star KJ Apa for capturing the steamy footage. The feeling is obviously mutual, with Consuelos insisting during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in February that he is “crazy” about Ripa. “We both come from families, our parents are still together — family is super important to us. We have three great kids, and that also bonds you, having that experience together,” he said.
Hilariously, the super-loving couple’s routine gushing “grosses out” their kids — specifically daughter Lola, who uses her social media account to object to her parents’ PDSMA (public displays of social media affection). Ripa and Consuelos, who eloped in 1996, will celebrate 23 years of marriage this May.
